Albert M. Saunders, Jr., 86, of Yardville, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 12, 2018, at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. Albert worked as an inspector for Switlik Parachute where he met his late wife, Joan. He went on to work for U.S. Steel Corporation, retiring after 33 years of service, during which time he was also employed with Dunham’s Department Store in Trenton. Albert enjoyed bowling with the U.S. Steel league and spending time with his grandchildren, fishing together and attending their sporting events. He will be truly missed by all.
Predeceased by his loving wife, Joan Saunders; he is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Valerie and John Bednarski and Nadine and Frank Sheppard; and his three grandchildren, John, Jr., Matthew and Jessie.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Princeton Memorial Park in Robbinsville.
