Andrew Steven Doty, 57, of Hamilton passed away suddenly on November 22, 2017, at his home.
Born August 9, 1960, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Andrew graduated from Cheshire Academy, Class of ’78 and attended McGill University. He attained a B.A. in History from Rutgers University, Class of ’01. He was employed with Bloomberg as a data analyst for several years before founding his own company, ClearingPrice, LLC.
Andrew loved all sorts of music and art. He was particularly fond of that which highlighted his Hungarian heritage. He was a lifelong fan of Star Trek and was passionate about world history, politics, and the humanities. Andrew was a great cook, amateur photographer, and Francophile. He was a direct descendant of Edward Doty, one of the Mayflower pilgrims.
Predeceased by his parents, Dr. Mitchell E. and Katalin E. (Horthy) Doty; he is survived by his daughter, Ava K. Doty of Yardley, Pennsylvania, and his former wife, Dr. Kimberly Boller, also of Yardley.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton, 50 Cherry Hill Road, Princeton, NJ 08540.
Family visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017, prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
Cremation was private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Andrew's memory to the Nottingham Volunteer Fire Department, 200 Mercer Street, Hamilton Square, New Jersey 08690.
