Carl F. Lischer, 94, of Wall Twp., formerly of Trenton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Sunrise of Wall in Wall Twp.
Born in Trenton, Mr. Lischer was a lifelong area resident, prior to moving to Wall this past summer. He honorably served his country during WWII in the Navy and went on to work for the Trenton Fire Department, retiring as Captain. He was a lifelong member of the Elks Lodge #2262 in Hamilton, Hibernians of Hamilton, American Legion Post 93 in Trenton and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3525 in Hamilton. Carl was a Parishioner of St. Gregory the Great RC Church in Hamilton, loved playing Quoits and trips to Atlantic City.
Predeceased by his parents, Carl and Mary (Stingel) Lischer; his wife, Marie (Burla) Lischer; and his son, Carl F. Lischer; he is survived by his daughter, Diane Krepp and husband, Robert, of Rexford, MT; his stepdaughter, Jane Batista-Fendl and husband, Rick, of NJ; his grandson, Carl M. Lischer of Port Charlotte, FL; his siblings, Emily Mahr of MD and Peggy Bell and husband, Harold, of NJ as well as his many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Hamilton, NJ.
