Charlotte Helen Quinn, 84, of Robbinsville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Arcadia Nursing Home in Hamilton, NJ.
Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a Hamilton resident for 50 years prior to moving to Robbinsville.
Charlotte retired as a nurse from Steinert High School after 25 years of service. She often lovingly reminisced of her years as a Spartan and fondly recalled stories of her co-workers. Prior to that, she worked for 10 years for St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
She was a member of St. Raphael-Holy Angels Parish in Hamilton. Charlotte enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with her husband Joe and most especially, spending time with her children and grandchildren. Although she “hated” cooking, she hosted many holiday gatherings for family and friends, and kept Sunday dinner as the staple of the family. Her kind soul also embraced the many family pets throughout the years.
Predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Quinn and her parents, Walter and Susan (Rauner) Nitschmann; she is survived by her three children and their spouses, Patricia and James Bradley, Michael and Deitra Quinn and Tracy Quinn, and her loving grandchildren, Jimmy and Laura Bradley, Spencer and Connor Quinn and Shaye Kavanagh.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., followed by a Catholic service at 11:30 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Charlotte’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org
