Dolores J. Connolly, 89, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson university Hospital in Hamilton, NJ.
Born in Newark, Mrs. Connolly has been a resident of the Mercer County area for more than 60 years. Dolores was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Formerly, she was the Altar Rosary President at St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church.
Her happiest times were spent cooking for her family, playing Bingo with friends and taking trips to the casino. Dolores loved to read, spend time at the beach but most of all she loved being with her family and friends.
Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Rose (Sodano) Ferro; her husband, Clement Connolly; her siblings, Frank Ferro, Angela Quinn and Joseph Ferro. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Patricia of Hockessin, DE, Kevin and Lynn of Langhorne, PA, and Keith and Rosemarie of Hamilton Square; her daughters and son-in-law, Maureen and David Andres, and Colleen Connolly, all of Belle Mead; her grandchildren, Erin Galbraith, Kristin, Ryan, Reid, Sean Connolly and Kelly Alexander, Brad and Connor Andres, and Tyler, Drew and Matthew Jones; her great- grandchildren, Natalie and Cooper Galbraith and Rowan Connolly.
Funeral services will begin on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul R.C. Church, 555 Yardville Allentown Rd., Yardville, N.J.
Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Connolly's memory to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 555 Yardville Allentown Rd., Yardville, N.J.
