Eleanor C. Walter, 82, of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017, at Brookdale Senior Living in Hamilton.
Born in Atlantic City, Eleanor was a lifelong Hamilton resident. She was an administrative assistant with the New Jersey Housing & Mortgage Finance Agency, retiring in 2011 after 25 years of service. Eleanor enjoyed being involved in her daughters' school and was an active PTA mom. She was a soccer coach in Hamilton and she and her late husband coached a traveling soccer team together. Eleanor was happiest when spending time with her family, going to the beach, especially LBI and traveling in her later years. She was an avid reader and loved a good pizza.
Predeceased by her parents, Paul, Sr. and Frances (Carroll) Henon; her husband, Albert J. "Bucky" Walter, Jr., her brother, Paul J. Henon, Jr. and her twin sister, Emma A. Henon; she is survived by her two daughters, Kathleen W. and husband, Robert B. Flannery and Patricia A. Walter and partner, Marcia R. Hutter; her 3 grandchildren, Owen and Connor Flannery and Patrick Walter-Hutter; her sister, Mary F. Murphy as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in- law, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, New Jersey.
Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
Visitation for friends and family will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
