Louise M. Ebner was born in Binghamton, New York on October 24, 1923. She passed away peacefully in her home on October 11, 2017 at the age of 93, surrounded by her loving family.

At the age of 12, she and her family moved to West New York, NJ. Louise received her Bachelor's degree from Middlebury College and a Masters of Education at Columbia University.

It was at Middlebury College that she met and later married Donald Ebner in 1951. She worked as an English Teacher and Guidance Counselor at Village School in Closter, New Jersey for 30 years and then as an Editor at the John Ankerberg Television Show in Chattanooga, Tennessee. During that time she wrote a series of English Grammar books with a Christian emphasis.

From a young age, Louise was always very involved in church. She served as a church organist at Tappan Alliance Church in Tappan, NY for many years and has been an active member of Princeton Alliance Church in Plainsboro, NJ in recent years.

Louise was a polio survivor and had an unwavering faith in God. She praised God through every trial and was an incredible example of perseverance, positivity, and strength. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and always was willing to offer prayer or a kind word of encouragement to anyone who might need it.

She was a gracious and elegant hostess. She was friendly and enjoyed meeting new people and always made everyone feel welcome. She loved history, writing and editing, traveling, and New York City. She had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh, ate a dish of ice cream every night of her life and truly lived life to the fullest.

She is survived by her husband, Donald W. Ebner; her daughter, Donna Hannold and son-in-law, Boyd Hannold; her granddaughter and husband, Stephanie and Matthew Coder; and her two grandsons, Joel Hannold and Eric Hannold.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. at the Princeton Alliance Church, 20 Schalks Crossing Rd., Plainsboro Township, NJ 08536.
