Ruth B. Hatfield Clarke, 91, of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton.
Born in Hazleton, PA, Ruth raised her family in Florham Park. She later moved to Hamilton where she resided for several years. Ruth had a strong work ethic, and was a dedicated employee of Hooper Holmes for 40 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years and a Mother Advisor in both Canada and New Jersey for the Rainbow Girls. Ruth loved to sing, take family photos and spend time with her children and grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Elsie (Dougherty) Hatfield; her sister, Anne Callas and her former husband, Clay H. Clarke; she is survived by her children, Bruce A. Clarke and wife, Anita, Sharon L. Allen, Dawn V. Cacio and Tracy L. Simon and husband, Robert; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and her two nephews.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, from 3 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A Memorial Service will follow at 5:30 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
