Obituary

Santina "Sandy" Lorenz (nee Cestra), 92, of Mercerville, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2017, at Hamilton Continuing Care Center.

Born in Trenton, Sandy grew up in Lawrence and resided most of her life in Mercerville. She retired after 25 years from General Motors. She was a strong woman of great faith. Having lost her husband at a young age, she would spend time visiting nursing homes and lifting the spirits of others with her warm smile and open heart. She felt blessed to be able to share in the milestones and celebrations with her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she called "the joy of my life".

Predeceased by her husband, Quint Lorenz; sisters, Julia Ferrazzano, Irene Martini, Lucy Cestra and Margaret Tandy; nieces, Sylvia Morrealle and Annette Pacera and nephew, Jerry Martini. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Cannon and husband, Tim, Dee Mallam and husband, Cliff, and Patricia Smith and husband, Malcolm; her grandchildren, Craig and Chris Mallam, Brad (Kristen), Matt, Shaun (Wren) and Drew Cannon and Stephen and Lauren Smith; her great-grandchildren, Isabella, Penelope and Quinn Cannon; as well as several nieces and nephews, close friends, especially her longtime friends, Ann Horan and Sheila Alessi and her special friend and caregiver, June Wilson.

Funeral services will begin on Thursday, February, 16, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows-Saint Anthony Parish, Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church, 3816 East State Street Extension, Hamilton, NJ.
Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Hamilton, NJ.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017, from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
