Alice Wolverton Fish, 60, of Chesterfield, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.

Born in Crosswicks, she lived in the Mercer and Burlington County area all her life. Early in her career Alice was employed as the tax collector in Trenton and Lambertville. She retired as Lawrence Township tax collector after more than 20 years of service. She enjoyed quilting, making jewelry and loved animals, especially her four birds and her dog.

Predeceased by her father, Lester Wolverton; Alice is survived by her mother, Merle M. (Van Meter) Wolverton; her sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Bob Andrews; her brother, Donald; her brother and sister-in-law, Timothy and Mary Wolverton; her niece, Amy Warne and her husband, Jason; their sons, James and Andrew; her niece Ellen Stumpf and her husband, Jeff; their sons, Simon, Oliver and Charlie; her nephews, Ben and Danny Wolverton; and many friends, including Lynda Donovan, Lorah Jankord and Sue McCloskey.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, New Jersey.

Family and friends may gather on Saturday, July 20, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
