Antonio L. “Tony” Mattino, 84, of Hamilton Square, passed away Friday in Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton.
Born in Procida, Napoli, Italy, Mr. Mattino came to the United States in 1954, arriving in New York, and settled in the Princeton area in 1956, before making his home in Hamilton Square in 1980. He graduated from high school in Italy and was a member of the Italian Merchant Marines.
He retired from Fifth Dimension in Trenton in 1994, after over 40 years of service, where he worked in shipping, receiving and maintenance. He also worked part time at Princeton University as a groundskeeper. Tony enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Prencipe Mattino; two daughters, Sally Van Fleet, and Celeste Mattino-Levine and her husband Gary; two grandchildren, Angela Van Fleet and Megan Mattino; two sisters and two brothers.
The Funeral service will be held 9am Monday at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
Family and friends may call 2-4pm and 7-9pm Sunday at the Colonial Home.
