Brian Blaty, 67, of Hamilton, passed away in the comfort of his daughter’s arms on Sunday, September 8, 2019, at Capital Health Medical Center - Hopewell in Hopewell, NJ.
Born in Detroit, MI, he resided in Brooklyn for a year and Staten Island for 10 years prior to moving to New Jersey. Brian settled into his home in Hamilton with his family 27 years ago. For 20 years, Mr. Blaty worked as field maintenance operations employee for Hamilton Board of Education. He was a Detroit Lions fan, he enjoyed dancing, bowling, playing pool and unwinding at the beach. Brian’s happiest moments were spent with his family, especially his only beloved granddaughter who called him “Pop”; she brightened all of his days.
Predeceased by his parents, Louis and Anna (Abdo) Blaty; he is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Marguerite (DiGiovanni) Blaty; his daughter, Annmarie Blaty; his son, Louis Blaty; his granddaughter, Mia Elzani; his siblings, Ruth Rogers and her husband, Gerard, Maureen Sasso and her husband, Ronald, and James Blaty and his wife, Helen; his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows-Saint Anthony Parish, Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, 3816 East State Street Extension, Hamilton, NJ.
