Caleb James Brien, 18, of Robbinsville, passed away at home on Monday, May 13, 2019.
A military brat, Caleb was born in Tokyo, Japan, and has lived in Illinois and New Jersey while travelling to 34 states, Canada, and Guam. He was a student at Robbinsville High School who excelled both academically and athletically. An “old soul”, he enjoyed a good cup of coffee with classical and jazz music. He watched movies like “12 Angry Men”, “The Quiet Man”, “Remember the Titans”, the “Rocky” movies, any old mystery movie, and he loved Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings” set. His reading was extensive, hitting numerous classic literary gems from all over the world. He even taught himself French and the banjo. His wit and eccentricity will be remembered by all.
His life will always positively impact his loving parents, Don and Karla Brien; his sister and brother-in-law, Kate and Tim Severance; his brothers, Sean, Joel, and Seth; his grandparents, Pat & Kathy Hay and Don & Phyllis Brien; his faithful companions and beloved dogs, Beckham and Lucy; along with many friends.
All are welcome to join the Brien family for a time of remembrance during the normal worship service of Calvary Chapel Living Hope Church. This will be on May 19, 2019, starting at 9:45 a.m., at the Pond Road Middle School in Robbinsville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Caleb’s memory to NJUCA, to a scholarship fund for any child in a military family, by visiting In Memory Of at inmemof.org.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
