Carla V. Scott, 87, of Hamilton, passed peacefully into Heaven Saturday, at Millhouse Nursing Home in Trenton.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mrs. Scott was a longtime Hamilton area resident and graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing, Class of 1943. She was a US Army veteran of WWII, having achieved the rank of 2nd Lieutenant and received the WWII Victory Medal. After the war, she worked as a private duty nurse.
She was a former member of Bethel Lutheran Church, a member of the Baron Club, the Hamilton Happy Hearts, and the American Legion Post 26. She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Predeceased by her husband of 50 years, James T. Scott, and her daughter, Carla Patricia Scott, she is survived by her daughter, Mary K. Scott; her son and daughter-in-law, James J. and Eileen Scott; her brother and sister-in-law, George and May Heupel; four grandchildren, Joseph, Samuel, Christopher and Katie; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be held 11:30am Tuesday, December 2, from the Saul Memorial Home, 1740 Greenwood Ave., Trenton, NJ.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
Family and friends may call 6-8pm Monday, December 1, at the Memorial Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
