Cheryl Marie Monteverde, passed into the loving arms of the Lord Monday, March 9, 2009 at Cooper University Hospital, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
Cheryl was a life long resident of Hamilton and a graduate of Hamilton High West. She also took great pride in the fact that she was working toward an Associates degree in Business Administration at Thomas Edison College.
She loved her work with the Unclaimed Property Branch of the New Jersey Division of Taxation, and celebrated 40 years of state service in April 2008.
At the time she left us, Cheryl had a deep devotion to human care ministry and had taught Sunday school at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for 19 years, where she was a lifelong member.
Cheryl moves on to share peace, joy and love in eternal rest with those who have predeceased her, including her mother, Pauline D. (Muranko) Monteverde, who passed in 1979, and her father, Edward C. Monteverde, who passed in 1984.
Cheryl is survived by her sister, Carol; and many cousins and friends, including special friends, Lauren Higgins, Beverly Ritorto and Diane Symcak, who helped and cared for her during her last journey.
Cheryl's family and friends would like to thank the nursing staff at RWJUH Hamilton and the entire staff of Cooper University Hospital, especially Dr. Carl Christie, for their care and compassion during her illness.
