Doreen Bencivengo, 89, of Mt. Laurel, formerly of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly.
Born in Trenton, Mrs. Bencivengo grew up in England until the age of 17, when her family moved back to Hamilton. She resided in Hamilton for many years prior to moving to Mt. Laurel 19 years ago. She worked as a production technician for Roche Medical, Kontron and Trane Air Systems in Trenton, retiring 27 years ago.
Doreen loved dancing, cooking, reading, shopping and spending time with her family. She adored her dogs and always enjoyed family holidays and get-togethers.
Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Doris (Booth) Wood; her brother, Thomas Wood; her sister, Judith Wood McCaulsky; and her niece, Debbie Wood Militch, who she cared for like a daughter; she is survived by her children, David Leech and wife, Patty, and Jeanie Barlow and husband, Darryl; her beloved grandchildren, David and wife, Esti, Crista and husband, Jimmy, Dylan and Jack; her great-grandchildren, Ciara and Cailynn; her brother, Samuel Wood; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, November 5, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Burial Office and Requiem Eucharist will take place at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Apostles Episcopal Church, 1040 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ.
Interment will follow at Colonial Memorial Park in Hamilton.
Visitation for friends and family will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
