Dorothy A. Stives, 88, of Hamilton passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at home.
Born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Stives lived in the Princeton area before coming to Hamilton in 1995.
She was a member of St. Paul's R.C. Church, Princeton and the Knights of Columbus Columbiettes, Princeton.
Mrs. Stives was a graduate of General Hospital Nursing School of Wilkes Barre. She was a self employed private duty nurse. She had the privilege of serving Gerry and his wife Grace Lambert of Princeton for over 20 years and corresponded with, his daughter, Bunny Melon.
Predeceased by her husband, Richard J. Stives and son Timothy, she is survived by her son, Richard Stives, Sr.; two grandchildren, Richard Stives, Jr. and Jason Stives; several nieces and nephews and dear friend Betty (Balcomb) Goodfellow.
A memorial gathering of friends and family will be held Tuesday from 7pm until 9pm at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, N.J.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a time to be announced at St. Paul's R.C. Church, Princeton.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Paul's Catholic School, 218 Nassau Street, Princeton, NJ 08542, in Mrs. Stives' memory.
