Dorothy M. Berrien, 98, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Hamilton Square, NJ, passed away peacefully at Bloom at Bluffton on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Dorothy was a true angel.
Born in Trenton, NJ, she graduated in 1938 from Hamilton High School West. Dorothy was a longtime member of The First Presbyterian Church of Hamilton Square and was the founder and President of Responsibility on Water. Dorothy was a member and past president of the Hamilton Township PTA as well as a member and past president of the Nottingham Women’s Club. She was also a member of the NJ State Federation of Women’s Club, and the Nottingham Squares Senior Citizens. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader for Troop 81. Dorothy enjoyed reading, sewing, painting, crafting and was a NASCAR fan.
Dorothy is predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years, William A. Berrien; and their son, William E. Berrien. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Berrien; including nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
A graveside funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton Township, NJ, 08619, under the direction of Saul Funeral Home.
