Dorothy M. Litchendorf Reichard, 97, of Doylestown, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at her home.
Born in Pineville, PA, Dot was raised in Trenton by her aunt and uncle Anna and Joseph Lees.
Dot was a 67 year member of the Hamilton Square Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was active in the Beta Tau Kappa women's circle.
She was a former member of the Hamilton Grange #79, a charter member and leader in the Silver Square senior citizens organization and a 4-H leader. She was dedicated to and a promoter of the family she dearly loved.
Predeceased by her husband, Edward W. Reichard and her son, Robert J. Reichard, she is survived by her daughter, Anne (David) Tindall, with whom she lived; her daughter-in-law, Darlene Reichard Butcher; eight grandchildren, Mark (Barbara) Tindall, Scott (Denise) Tindall, Jeffrey (Silvia) Tindall, Dr. Robynlee Reichard Bianco, Karen (Warren) Reichard Durbin, Robert J. (Beth) Reichard, Duane (Susan) Butcher, and Darryl Butcher; 16 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mildred V. Taylor.
Family and friends may call 12:30-1:30pm Monday at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. The funeral service will follow at 1:30pm with Rev. Teresa Ely and Pastor Mark Tindall co-officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
