ELBERT JOHN MINARCIK died peacefully at the Francis Parker Memorial Home on March 23, 2007 at 90. Elbert was predeceased by his parents (Charles and Mary), his sister (Ruth Fischer), his first wife Hazel (Wicks) and his second wife Alice (Marvin Combes). He has three children: a son, Alan (Clare) Minarcik; two daughters: Barbara Minarcik and Kathi (Frank) Ogoreuc; and three step-children: George (Sue) Combes; Bill (Ruth) Combes; and Nancy Combes (deceased). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
He was employed by the National Lead Company for 42 years and retired as its Technical Director. He was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown, was active in the Republican Party of East Windsor, and was an Oddfellow. He enjoyed stamp collecting, his dalmations, and his alma mater, Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
A Memorial Service will be held for him on Friday, April 13, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown on 320 North Main Street. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Memorial fund of the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown in his memory.
