Joan R. Bannon, 73, of Trenton, NJ, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018, at her home in Trenton.
Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a life long area resident. Joan was born and raised Seventh-Day Adventist. She enjoyed watching “Hour of Power” and educational Bible stories with Dr. David Jerimiah at Turning Point and the Irv Baxter of End Times shows.
Joan worked at East Windsor Schools as an aide, student, substitute and arts and crafts teacher for 30 years. She was a member of NJEA of NJ, Decorative Art Painters and NJ Art Educators Society. She also taught private decorative art lessons at Gnomes Ghomes.
She met the love of her life, Richard, “R-Bear” at the Hightstown Presbyterian singles group at a Halloween party. She will be greatly missed.
Predeceased by her parents, Ural A. and Hazel Mace Koppel; her paternal grandparents, Charles and Katherine Koppel; maternal grandparents, Leslie Girard Mace and Ruth Naomi Exner-Mace; she is survived by her husband, Richard Bannon; her sister, Judy L. Koppel of Jackson, NJ; her niece, Felicia C. Koppel of Jackson, NJ; her nephew, Ian Koppel of Jackson, NJ; her uncle, Dr. Albert Koppel, DDS, of Hendersonville, NC; and her papa/daddy, Arthur of Kinglsey, MI.
Memorial services will begin on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 3:30 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
Cremation will be private.
Memorial gathering for friends and family will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
