Matthew M. Haymond, 39, of Neptune, formerly of Hamilton, passed away suddenly and peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at home.
Born in Trenton, he was a graduate of Nottingham High School Class of 1997. Matt graduated from The University of Delaware in 2002 with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He gained his love of cooking from his mother, which led to his career as an Executive Chef and restaurant consultant. He worked for several restaurants, most recently at The Headliner. Matt had a contagious smile and made friends everywhere life took him. He loved fishing with his father, his nephew, Jack and friends. Some of his happiest times were spent with Krissy and their beloved dogs, Calhoun Jones and Jethrow. Matt touched many lives and will always be remembered for his ability to make everyone laugh and love him.
Predeceased by his sister, Faith Haymond and his paternal grandparents, Chester and Martha Haymond; he is survived by his loving parents, Chester M. and Judith A. (Tancreda) Haymond; his longtime girlfriend, Krissy O’Connor; his maternal grandparents, August and Josephine (Muccioli) Tancreda; his nephew, Jackson Nolan; his three maternal aunts, Patricia Stracquatanio and her husband, John, Janice Seitz and her husband, Robert and Teresa Volpe and her husband, Frank; his paternal uncle, John Haymond; his many cousins, extended family members, countless friends; and also his beloved dogs, Calhoun Jones and Jethrow.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019, from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and Friday, April 19, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with words of remembrance at 12:00 p.m., at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
