Muriel Mae Simon Edwards, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 14, 2010, in Meadowside at Meadow Lakes, Hightstown, NJ.
Born in Trenton, she formerly resided in Hamilton Square, Toms River and Maryville, Tennessee.
A graduate of Hamilton High School, Class of 1935 and Heimbach School of Business, she served as a secretary for John A. Roebling & Sons, the Federal government, and several other family businesses. Over the years, her interests were knitting, crocheting, baking and playing cards.
Daughter of the late Henrietta Gething and Joseph Miller Simon, wife of the late Howard F. Edwards, Jr. and sister of the late Hazel L. Campbell and Thelma D. Robertson; she is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Nancy E. and W. William Saul of Hamilton Square; her son, H. Gerald Edwards of Tennessee; five grandchildren, H. Bryan Edwards, Kimberly R. Edwards and Kevin G. Edwards, W. Scott Saul and his wife, Lisa A., and Kimberly M. Saul-Bowne, and her husband, Brian E.; 3 great-grandsons, W. Henry and John Thomas Saul and W. Deacon S. Bowne; her nieces, Linda R. Capone, Sandra R. Scheffer, Donna R. Kinter and their spouses; her nephew, Evan Campbell; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 18, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. Rev. Suzanne Schafer-Coates will be officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
Relatives and friends may call from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Colonial Home.
