Renate G. Tamburello, 75, of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at home surrounded by her three beloved children and animals.
Born in Glauchau, Germany, the daughter of Werner and Gertrude Franke, she immigrated to the United States in 1964. A dedicated and loving mother, she selflessly balanced her role as a mother with her career in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, most recently with The Medicines Company of Parsippany, NJ. In her free time she found particular enjoyment in the natural world, hiking, gardening, cooking, and caring for her animals.
She lives on in her children, Dr. Traci Tamburello, Stephanie Tamburello Harris, and Kristopher Tamburello; her siblings, Dr. Stefan Franke and Sonja Ehrenreich; her son in-law, Dr. Stic Harris; her daughter in-law, Melissa Tamburello; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Tamburello and Robert Tamburello.
She lived her life with grace and fortitude.
