Robert M. Foy, 78, of Hamilton, passed away Friday in Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune.
Born in the Bronx, NY, he lived most of his life in Trenton and Hamilton. A graduate of Trenton Central High School and Rider College, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a navigator/bombardier for the Strategic Air Command, and attained the rank of Captain with the Air Force Reserve. Bob retired from Hill Refrigeration as Director of Engineering, after 35 years of service. In retirement he was a volunteer at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. He was a member of OLS-St. Anthony Parish.
Son of the late Patrick J. and Catherine Schwarz Foy, he is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 54 years, Irene J. Kandrac Foy; his children, Patricia Hafitz and her husband Jered Robert; Robert Foy and his wife Laura, Gary Foy and his wife Janetta, all of Hamilton, and Trina Dattolo and her husband Anthony, of Toms River; grandchildren, Aaron Hafitz and his wife Hannah, Eli Hafitz and fiancée Lindsey Conlow, Leah Hafitz, Christine Foy, Allison Foy, Robert Matthew Foy, Patrick Foy; Daniel Foy, Shannon Foy, and Gianna Dattolo; and great-grandson, Logan Hafitz.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3816 East State Street Ext, Mercerville.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 7-9 pm at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Notttingham Way, Hamilton Square.
