Sara Carolyn Hommel, 89, of Yardley, passed away Wednesday in St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA.
Born in Morrisville, PA, Carolyn was a former longtime Ewing area resident and member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Ewing.
She was a bank teller with the former National State Bank (currently Wells Fargo), and retired after many years of service.
A devoted mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, she treasured spending time with her family. Carolyn was also a volunteer at Capital Health Day Care in Ewing.
Predeceased by her husband, Arthur J. Hommel, brother, Homer Bearden, sister, Dorothy Cox, and her niece, Barbara Cieplechowicz, she is survived by her daughter, Susan Harford of Trenton; son David Hommel and his wife Heather; her grandchildren; Cameron and Kiley Hommel; her brother, Roy Bearden; many nieces, nephews, cousins, their families and dear friends.
The funeral service will be held 11:30am Tuesday at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
Interment will follow in Ewing Church Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
