Thelma Bird, 99, of Hamilton Township, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018, at Capital Health Medical Center at Mercer, Trenton, NJ.
Born in Beverly, she was longtime resident of Hamilton. Thelma was employed with DeLaval Steam Turbine Company for 37 years as an Executive Secretary until her retirement in 1980 and was a member of the Frenchtown United Methodist Church for many years. Thelma resided at McCorristin Square in Hamilton where she cared for her cat, Tabbie who also lived a very long and peaceful life. Tabbie was 22 years old when she passed away and will be buried with her.
Predeceased by her parents, Walter P. and Eva Mae (Lawrence) Bird; she is survived by her niece, Penny Spangler Myers and her dear friends at McCorristin Square, Chris, Cyrilla, Lottie, Stephanie and many others.
Cremation services are private with an interment in Monument Cemetery, Beverly, NJ.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
