Thelma Holzbaur, 89, of Hamilton and Midway Beach, New Jersey, passed away, Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton, NJ. She was a lifelong resident of the Trenton area, though her heart was always at the shore.
After working for Hanneman Electric for several years, she married John Charles Holzbaur. During their 57 years of marriage Thelma was a homemaker, raising two children. Along with family, she loved the shore and will be remembered sitting on her front or back deck in the sunlight. Every spring family will remember her saying, "time to open the shore house" and each autumn we will see her tears from having to come back.
Predeceased by her parents, David and Stella (Moll) Coleman and her husband of 57 years, John Holzbaur; she is survived by her daughter, Charlene Holzbaur; her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Loretta Holzbaur; her three granddaughters, Emily, Megan, and Casey.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton. Please meet the procession at the Greenwood Avenue entrance of the cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Holzbaur's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
