William Carney, 49, of Cranbury, NJ, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at his home in Cranbury.

Born in Port Jefferson, NY, William was the President of Turner Group of Companies in New York City. He was involved in the Northeastern Lacrosse Alumni, Historic Preservation Society in Hightstown and was a coach for PAL in East Windsor. He enjoyed playing golf at Peddie Golf Club, woodworking and playing lacrosse.

Predeceased by his parents, Thomas F. and Mary Carney; he is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Kelley Carney; his adoring children, Katherine (Kate), Erin, Allison (Allie) and Liam; his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Nancy Carney; his nephew, Ryan Carney; and his niece, Emily Canavan.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint David Episcopal Church, 90 South Main Street, Cranbury, NJ.

Cremation will be private.

A Memorial Gathering for friends and family will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the A.S. Cole Son & Co. Funeral Home, 22 North Main Street, Cranbury, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in William’s memory to William Carney Lacrosse Scholarship c/o East Windsor PAL, 30 Airport Road, East Windsor, NJ 08520. Please make your check payable to East Windsor PAL.
