Campbell Thomas Brown, 44, of Monroe, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018.
Cam was born and raised in Cranbury, the town which he loved and had such fond memories of as a child.
He began his career with the Jackson Police Department in August of 2003 and was promoted to Sergeant in September of 2014. He had served with the patrol division and also as a detective with the department’s detective bureau and was a field training officer. While assigned to the detective bureau, he worked as the department’s juvenile detective and implemented the juvenile station house adjustment program after it was enacted by the state. He supervised the township Police Explorer program and was involved with the Police Explorer Academy. Cam was also involved in starting a new program for bike registration in the township to assist in identifying stolen bikes, in order to return them safely to their owners. He was a dedicated officer and retired in May of 2018.
Cam enjoyed playing the piano, bowling, and frequenting theme parks with his family. He also enjoyed working around the house and was a locally well-known Christmas display enthusiast. He was happiest when spending time with his family and adored his young daughter. He will be deeply missed by all of those who knew him.
Predeceased by his parents, Thomas Campbell Brown and Sandra (Wolfe) Brown; he leaves behind to carry on his legacy, his devoted wife, Katherine Leigh (Chitren) Brown and his cherished daughter, Katelyn Kristina Brown as well as many loving relatives and wonderful friends.
Funeral services will begin on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. at the A.S. Cole Son & Co. Funeral Home, 22 North Main Street, Cranbury, NJ.
Interment will follow at Brainerd Cemetery in Cranbury.
Visitation for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the A.S. Cole Son & Co. Funeral Home.
