Julius J. Rossi, 96, of Rochester, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 5, 2018, surrounded by family members. Born in Clairton, PA, on August 18, 1922, he grew up in Clairton as the youngest of seven siblings. A veteran of World War II, he and his wife moved to Fallsington, PA where he served as a roller at the Fairless Works Plant of U. S. Steel. He was completely devoted to his family. Beyond work and family, he loved watching baseball and football, fishing with friends, and in later life, he became a skilled artist of stained-glass lamps and works of art.
Julius is predeceased by his wives Rose Inverso Rossi (1978) and Roberta Thomas Rossi (2015); he is survived by children Celeste Rossi Toth, Jamal (Pam) Rossi; grandchildren Justin, David (Erin Anish), Julia, Sarah; and great grandson Elliott.
A memorial gathering for friends and family will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m., with a funeral service beginning at 9:45 a.m., at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Langhorne, PA.
