Michael A. Colacello, 95, of Trenton, NJ, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Hamilton Continuing Care in Hamilton, NJ.
Born and raised in Trenton, Mr. Colacello was a graduate of Trenton Catholic High School, Class of 1941, and later received his Bachelors of Science from Rutgers University, Class of 1946. After graduating, Mr. Colacello went on to work for RCA Laboratories and later GE for over 40 years as a Mechanical Engineer. He was a lifelong member of St. Anthony’s RC Church where he attended the church grammar school.
Mr. Colacello received a pilot’s license and always took great pleasure in flying. He also had an avid interest in antique automobiles and participated in many shows and received many awards over the years.
Predeceased by his parents, John and Philomena D’Balsi Colacello, and his brother and sister-in-law, Albert A. and Eileen Colacello; he is survived by his nephew, Albert J. Colacello of Hamilton Square; his niece, Leslie E. Russell and her husband, John, of Denver, CO; his cousin, Nick Olimpio and his wife, Elizabeth, of Hamilton; his two great-nieces; his two great-nephews; and his cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, 626 South Olden Avenue, Hamilton, NJ.
Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
Visitation for friends and family will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
